Published: Nov. 19, 2025 at 9:39 AM CST NORWOOD, Mo. (KY3) - On a small family farm in NorwWatch the KY3 feature on Yes Honey ood, something big has been brewing.

“We have a honey-sweetened soda alternative,” said Heather Mincer, founder of Yes Honey. “We don’t use any corn syrup, sugar, or stevia, so it’s just completely sweetened with honey.”

Heather Mincer is a former homeschool mom turned entrepreneur. Her soda line Yes Honey, can be found on store shelves in the Springfield area.

“We are in Hy-Vee, in Price Cutter, we’re in a lot of small stores around Springfield, Nixa, Ozark, and Mama Jeans,“ said Mincer. ”We just launched on Amazon, and we are just having our launch in Hawaii next month in December."

She does most of her work from her home office.

“Right now, yes, it’s a one-woman show,” said Mincer.

She said her husband helps her as well, but it’s something that she and her son have in common which was part of the idea behind Yes Honey.

“The other thing that was a driving force for this was that my son and I were both diagnosed with Alpha-gal when we moved here to Missouri, and I had such a struggle going to the grocery store to find products that were Alpha-Gal safe,” said Mincer.

She said there was no labeling at the time, and she wasn’t sure if there were hidden ingredients, something that is the foundation of Yes Honey.

“We don’t use any sugars that are processed with bone char, and so people with Alpha-Gal or any allergy, it’s all gluten-free, can safely take our products,” said Mincer.

Mincer said Yes Honey is manufactured in Bolivar, and it’s sourced from ingredients from the Midwest.

“We have worked closely with the Missouri Department of Agriculture and Missouri Grown; they have been really great partners to help us grow within agriculture because we are beekeepers,” said Mincer.

Mincer said this is just the beginning.

“My goal is to be a national brand,” said Mincer. “We want to be the next Poppi and be able to bring healthy, better-for-you sodas to the market, because everybody’s starting to think more about their health and what they put into their body,” said Mincer.
